Rayner: We will work with Holyrood to mitigate benefit cap

Currently, families are not able to claim child benefits for more than two children.

The deputy prime minister insists she will cooperate with the Scottish Government to help it mitigate the two-child benefit cap, but says her government has no immediate plans to scrap it.

On a visit to Govan, Angela Rayner says the Department of Work and Pensions will help identify eligible families, but says she doesn’t know of any requests so far.
