Rare pond mud sails bouncing back thanks to conservationists

Habitat loss and pollution have decimated their numbers

After years of plummeting numbers due to habitat loss and pollution, tiny pond mud snails have been making a recovery from the safety of the Pentland Hills.

The team behind the project say it’s a great result and shows that all some species need to flourish is a “helping hand”.
