RAAC affected residents repeat call for government funding

Housing secretary Mairi McAllan met with affected homeowners in Dundee on Wednesday.

Residents impacted by potentially dangerous concrete have repeated their calls for Government funding, as the housing secretary held her first meeting with those affected in Dundee.

Mairi McAllan visited the city on Wednesday, where around 950 homes are known to contain RAAC, the highest number in Scotland.

It comes as Aberdeen City Council gave the go-ahead to demolish hundreds of homes containing the material earlier this week.
