Puffin numbers quadruple thanks to volunteer efforts

Volunteers have spent the last two decades working to protect the vital habitat on the island of Craigleith.

Puffin numbers on the island of Craigleith in the River Forth have quadrupled thanks to the work of more than 1,000 dedicated volunteers who have spent the last two decades working to protect the vital habitat.

But conservationists are now concerned that a proposed offshore wind farm development could pose a new threat to the much-loved birds.
