Public urged to vaccinate as whooping cough cases rise

7 babies across the UK have died this year

Expectant mothers and parents are being encouraged to get themselves and their young children vaccinated following an increase in whooping cough cases.

Experts say there’s been a ten fold rise in cases of the infectious condition across Europe, which is expected to continue.

Cases in Scotland have also risen.
