Public given first look at National Centre for Music plans

Since the building closed in 1968, there have been a number of plans to redevelop it.

People are being given a first look at how Edinburgh’s former Royal High School will look once it’s transformed into the National Centre for Music.

Since the building closed in 1968, there have been a number of plans to redevelop it.

After securing an additional £4.5m of funding, the trust says its looking forward to opening the historic site as a performance venue.

It’s hoped to be ready by the end of 2027.
