Prison support centre a “Godsend” says grandmother

Service users say there needs to be more understanding how imprisonment affects the whole family

An Aberdeenshire grandmother who cares for her grandson while his father is in jail says a hub to help families was a ‘lifeline’ during Covid.

The support centre at HMP Grampian in Peterhead aims to help make prison visits a more pleasant experience, especially for children.
