Prison mobile phones to be replaced with landlines

The change will take place over the coming months

Mobile phones issued to prisoners during Covid are being phased out and replaced with in cell landlines.

Throughout the prison estate, there has also been ongoing investment in family centres to improve support for those impacted by a loved one’s imprisonment.
