Preparations underway for UCI Cycling World Championships

It's billed as the 'biggest cycling event in history' and will close down roads across Scotland

Preparations are well underway for the UCI World Championships which will be taking place in Scotland next month, with drivers being asked to prepare for disruption.

Taking place across 13 local authorities, riders will compete in events such as road races, time trials, mountain biking and BMX freestyle.

With the logistics being described as the equivalent of running the Tour de France across Scotland.
