Premature babies get brain boost from breastmilk finds study

Every year 15 million children worldwide are born pre-term

Premature babies are less likely to develop disabilities and learning problems, if fed breast milk – that’s according to a breakthrough study conducted by the University of Edinburgh.

Researchers found that the brains of premature infants who consumed high levels of breast milk were more likely to resemble babies born at full term.
