Power generated by renewables hits record high in Scotland

Energy regulator Ofgem believes that the increase in green power will help household bills.

Power generated by renewable sources in Scotland has reached a record high, with capacity increasing by 5% in the past year.

It comes as construction is set to begin on a subsea transmission cable which will transport power between Peterhead and England.
