It’s been dubbed “the most widespread miscarriage of justice in UK history”, and the Horizon IT scandal has even prompted some people to say they’ll boycott the Post Office, as a show of support for wrongly accused sub-postmasters.
But the majority of them are small independent business owners, and unions are warning a boycott could “endanger the existence” of branches.
One woman told STV she has already sunk her entire life savings into her Largs branch, and now feels trapped.
