Police prepare for massive operation as Trump to visit Scotland

Protests are expected - with groups being asked to engage with police.

It’s the biggest policing operation Scotland’s force has seen since the death of the late Queen – the visit to Scotland by the US President, Donald Trump.

Today we learned more about how officers plan to execute the operation.

Protests are expected – with groups being asked to engage with police – whilst being warned abusive and threatening behaviour won’t be tolerated.

Tonight – the US Secret Service, responsible for keeping President Trump safe have thanked Police Scotland for their “unwavering support and partnership during this visit.”
