A jury at the High Court in Edinburgh has been told it’s “not a great time to be a police officer standing trial for rape.”
The claim was made by the defence advocate for Coulter, who denies raping a woman and a young girl in East Lothian.
Jurors were urged to put anything they’ve seen about any case involving a police officer elsewhere out of their minds and focus on the evidence in this one.
