Police hit by fireworks and projectiles on Bonfire Night

Campaigners say fireworks should be banned.

Police say firework-related disorder on Bonfire Night was down on the levels seen on the same day last year.

That’s despite the force and fire brigade colleagues being “bombarded” with pyrotechnics and bricks in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
