Rishi Sunak wants to promote his party as the protectors of oil and gas jobs

The Prime Minister is refusing to offer Grangemouth Oil Refinery a lifeline– leaving hundreds of jobs in jeopardy. It is due to close next year.

As Conservatives gather in Aberdeen for their Scottish conference, Rishi Sunak also would not confirm whether the UK government would intervene to allow the site to transition to a hub for biofuels.
