Plea to help save animal sanctuary caring for abused pets

Glendrick Roost animal rescue founder Hermione Morrison says she needs help to allow her to continue the work she does.

A sanctuary that cares for abused, abandoned and unwanted animals is appealing for funds to help its founder continue.

Hermione Morrison, 74, has lived at Glendrick Roost in Aberfoyle for 25 years, but says she now needs help to look after the 22 special needs dogs the shelter cares for, and other animals, due to her age and medical conditions.

The home she runs in Aberfoyle takes in abused, abandoned and unwanted animals but upgrades to the facility are urgently needed.

She’s asking for volunteers to help carry out the work needed, and donations to help pay for the upgrades.
