Plans to heavily restrict the ownership of American XL bully type dogs in Scotland will go ahead on Friday.
It comes after a group of MSPs rejected an attempt to scrap the legislation.
Justice committee member Christine Grahame argued the new rules could bring “unintended consequences”, while animal charities fear more dogs could be abandoned.
