Pioneering music project could face closure due to cuts

Aberdeen City Council says it won't pre-empt next weeks budget

A pioneering music project – which helps children from disadvantaged areas – is pleading with Aberdeen City Council to spare them from budget cuts.

Funding for the Big Noise Project in Dundee was pulled by councillors last night – despite a widespread campaign there.

Now there’s growing concern the Torry programme could be next ahead of next week’s budget discussions.
