Petition launched to replace Inverness’ Raigmore Hospital

The hospital dates back to the 1970s, with the main tower block opening in 1985

It’s the Highlands biggest hospital, but it’s claimed Raigmore in Inverness is no longer fit for purpose.

A petition’s been launched calling on the Scottish Government to urgently build a new complex.

It comes as the area’s health board issued a plea, asking people who don’t require life saving treatment to contact NHS 24, as they say today the hospital is ‘very busy’.
