One of Scotland’s leading doctors says people have been left “destroyed” by the impact of contamination issues at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children and the strain placed on staff delivering cancer care for young patients was huge.
Professor Brenda Gibson, a consultant paediatric haematologist, is giving evidence to the Scottish Hospitals Inquiry, which was set up in the wake of deaths linked to infections at the hospital campus.
