Pensions to rise but many struggling with cost of living

A survey by Age Scotland has highlighted the impact the cost of living has on older people

That state pension increase by 8.5% from next April, means a £900 increase per year – but for many older people the cost of living is taking its toll.

A survey by the charity Age Scotland shows 43% of over-50s are cutting back on food spending with 76% of respondents concerned about their food bills.
