Patient safety at risk due to nurse drop-outs, warns Royal College of Nursing

A survey found burnout and poor health are leading factors.

The Royal College of Nursing is warning patient safety is being put at risk after a rise in the number of people leaving the profession.

Despite latest figures showing an increase in registered nurses in Scotland, the union claims there’s an upward trend in those resigning.
