Passengers land in Edinburgh after storm diversion to Germany

The flights left Dublin 24 hours earlier for what should have been a flight of around one hour

Passengers from a Ryanair flight which aborted a landing at Edinburgh in extreme winds have been speaking about the “terrifying” experience – but say the pilot made the right decision.

After two failed attempts to touch down in Scotland the airport diverted to Germany leaving many spending the night sleeping on floors.
