The parents of a baby girl who died at just 11 days old say they’re still desperate for answers, seven years on.

They’ve been granted a fatal accident inquiry after Sophia Smith contracted a toxic infection at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital in April 2017.

Theresa and Matthew Smith say they deserve to know how their newborn daughter caught MSSA, after they were told by a clinician it was just “bad luck”.
