Organisers prepare for Tall Ships Race’s arrival in Aberdeen

The event was last held in the Granite City in 1997.

There are fewer than 40 days until the first boats sail into Aberdeen’s harbour for the 2025 Tall Ships Race.

Over 2,000 crew members from 50 vessels are expected to arrive in the city.

Aberdeen last held the event in 1997 – and the organisers of that gathering have been passing on their wisdom to the faces behind this year’s extravaganza.
