Four-year-old Thora rescued from poor conditions, now cared for near Aboyne

One of the UK’s tallest horses is getting ready for her new home after being rescued from squalid conditions.

Four-year-old Thora is being looked after by the World Horse Rescue Centre near Aboyne, who say she’s lucky to be alive.

She stands at 18 points, two hands, that’s just over six feet, and is likely to grow further.
