One in four Scots don’t do any exercise, new research finds

These findings will add to worries about the nation's health - and the impact on health services

How much exercise do you do? Well, a new study suggests as many as one in four of us in Scotland don’t do any at all, with less than half regularly taking part in sport or physical activity.

The research, commissioned by a sport think-tank, also highlights widening health inequalities – with respondents from poorer backgrounds less likely to participate.
