One dead after Perth recycling centre explosion and fire

The incident forced the closure of the bridge and the M90, causing miles of traffic tailbacks

An explosion and major fire at a recycling centre in Perth has left a man dead and another with serious injuries.

Emergency services were called to the scene under the Friarton Bridge in the early hours of the morning and discovered the body of a 46 year old man.

Another 41-year-old man was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital.
