Number of jobs in Aberdeen drops by 18,000 since 2010

There are concerns that over the next few years, the number of jobs could drop even further.

The number of available jobs in Aberdeen has fallen by more than 18,000 since 2010, new research has found.

The figures also raised concerns about the city’s rate of economic growth amid a decline in the oil and gas sector.

Meanwhile, business leaders say they’re sceptical about the benefits the UK Government’s GB Energy venture will bring to the area.
