The number of families using foodbanks in Scotland has more than doubled in the past decade, with one anti-poverty charity saying the figures should act as a ‘wake-up call’
The Trussell Trust say in the last year 140,000 emergency food parcels were given to households with at least one child.
The charity is urging both the UK and Scottish Governments to tackle severe levels of hunger.
