The number of Scots dying from alcohol is at its highest for more than a decade – but medical experts say more and better support services are needed to help people overcome their drink problem.
One recovering alcoholic has told STV News it wasn’t formal treatment that made the difference for him – it was others who had gone through similar struggles before.
