Dozens of cultural and leisure venues across North Lanarkshire will be saved from closure after a dramatic U-turn from council leaders.
The Labour-run local authority announced last week that almost 40 venues would shut their doors for good over the next two years.
But it now says it will protect the facilities despite a “dire financial situation.”
