North East business leaders call for FM to back freeport bid

Five Scottish zones have submitted their plans but just two will be given the green light by the UK Government

Those committed to making the North East of Scotland a global leader in sustainable energy are calling for First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to back their bid for a green freeport in the area.

Business leaders say if selected 32,000 jobs could be created as well as an £8.5 billion injection into the north east’s economy.
