Normal Gilbert exhibition to open at Glasgow’s Tramway

Despite his work being celebrated across the world he was never quite recognised in the city he called home, until now

An exhibition celebrating the work of the artist Norman Gilbert is opening in Glasgow – three years after he died.

The show, at the Tramway on the southside of the city, is just a stone’s throw from where he had his studio in Pollokshields.
