An American rape suspect, accused of faking his own death, caused immediate confusion during his first appearance in a US court after being extradited from Scotland.
Nicholas Rossi was flown out of Edinburgh earlier this month following a two-year legal battle in which he claimed he was a victim of mistaken identity.
Rossi told the judge in Utah he is Arthur Knight and went on to dismiss the suggestion he was not giving his true name as “complete hearsay”.
