NHS unprepared for rising cancer deaths say charity bosses

The Scottish Government is due to publish a ten year cancer strategy this spring

Charity bosses are warning the NHS in Scotland could soon be overwhelmed by rising cancer cases.

Cancer Research UK estimates an increase from more than 31,000 a year to more than 42,000 a year by 2040.

Annual deaths are projected to rise by 17%.
