Women with advanced endometriosis could now be offered NHS funded fertility preservation treatments like egg freezing under new guidance published today.
It comes as a Glasgow woman with the condition, which can affect fertility, told STV News she felt pressure to borrow £7,000 to freeze her eggs privately.
Demand for such treatments has increased by 200% since the pandemic.
