NHS Lothian cancels hundreds of surgeries in sterilisation issue

Deals have been struck with other health boards to use their facilities - with the aim a full schedule of surgery can resume at the end of the week

NHS Lothian has apologised to hundreds of patients whose operations have been cancelled after a water leak in a unit for sterilising surgical equipment at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
