From this week, non-surgical procedures like botox and fillers will require a face-to-face consultation with a medical professional as part of a crackdown on the cosmetics sector.

Nursing and midwifery prescribers will be required to meet with patients before they can administer the treatments.

It’s something campaigners have been calling for for years but there are fears the industry could go underground without proper enforcement and better patient awareness.
