The new head of a joint maternity programme, linking hospitals in Moray and the Highlands, says she’s confident full consultant led services, will be restored in Elgin.
Jane Gill has been tasked with recruiting and overseeing the care, which will allow more mums to give birth in Elgin and Inverness, instead of having to travel to Aberdeen.
