Sports clubs across Scotland are set to benefit from new and upgraded pitches, changing rooms and infrastructure after the UK Government announced £8.6m worth of investment in community sports facilities.
Politicians and sports groups hope the money will improve diversity in football as well as creating more opportunities for women and girls to take up the game full-time.
