A group of engineering students at Heriot-Watt University has come up with an idea for the Sheriffhall roundabout that they say could be more efficient and cost-effective.
For the last decade, plans to upgrade Sheriffhall roundabout with a flyover to ease congestion on the Edinburgh City Bypass have been repeatedly delayed.
But engineering students believe they may have found another solution called a “throughabout”.
They evaluated the cost, congestion levels and overall value for money of their proposal and compared it with the current bypass plans.
