Should mobile phones be banned in Scotland’s classrooms?
That’s the question that teachers, pupils and parents have been grappling with for years, with their use blamed for growing behavioural issues.
The education secretary says new national guidelines published today will empower headteachers to bring in bans if they so wish, and they’ll have the backing of the Scottish Government to do so.
