The Scottish Government is being urged to award a crucial Calmac ferry contract to Ferguson Marine shipyard to secure its future.
The calls mark the start of a campaign to restore the beleagured firm’s reputation following those endless delays and soaring costs for two other ferries being built at the yard.
The Scottish Government says it is still considering the next steps for replacing the Lord of the Isles vessel.
