New Ferguson Marine boss guarantees new ferries will be delivered with no further delays or costs

Work to deliver the vessels is currently five years behind schedule.

The new boss at the Ferguson’s shipyard has offered a guarantee two new ferries will be delivered with no further delays or additional costs. Work to deliver the vessels is currently five years behind schedule and more than two and a half times over budget.

David Tydeman took over as chief executive at the yard in February. He says he is prepared to stake his reputation on the ferries being delivered by the end of next year.
