New cycling strategy aims to get women back in the saddle

It's hoped an increase in female cyclists won't hit the brakes in the coming years.

Following last year’s UCI World Championships and the 2026 Commonwealth Gams on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be a cycling fan in Scotland.

However new data suggests three quarters of Scottish women don’t cycle.

But 36% of those do want to get on a bike. STV News has been getting an exclusive look at a new Scottish Cycling strategy being launched as part of Women and girls in Sport Week.
