MSPs have voted to pass a new bill which will see changes to Scotland’s education system.
It will abolish the SQA and replace it with a new authority called Qualifications Scotland.
The bill will also now legally recognise the needs of pupils and teachers who use British Sign Language.
The recognition follows a year-long campaign by the National Deaf Children’s Society.
