A judge found Nicole Blain guilty of killing her daughter before trying to blame the death on other child.

A mum has been convicted of murdering her baby daughter after trying to blame the death on another child.

Nicole Blain was found guilty of killing newborn, Thea June Wilson, at a flat in Greenock, Inverclyde, on July 14, 2023.

The stricken child was found to have three separate fractures to the skull, damage to the brain, and bleeding to her eyes, after Blain shook the baby and inflicted horrific head injuries on her.

Blain was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Wednesday and will return to court for sentencing on May 28.
