Multi-million Edinburgh tram extension carries first passengers

The council insists the the disruption will be outweighed by the benefits the route will bring

The multi-million pound extension to Edinburgh’s tram system has begun carrying its first paying passengers.

The network extends the current airport to city centre route to reach Picardy Place and Newhaven.
